Are you or someone you know sending an adult child away to college without being fully prepared?

July 25 at 5:30 pm-7:00 pm

Free

Once children turn 18 they are considered legal adults which means that if a medical emergency occurs, just because you’re their parent or grandparent, doesn’t necessarily mean that you can obtain information regarding their condition.  This is where a Health Care Proxy becomes crucial.  It allows the adult child to appoint a proxy that will have the right to obtain information about the medical condition, be granted access to medical records and make treatment decisions for the child.  In addition, before going away to school, adult children should have a clear understanding of their finances, and how to manage them for the present and the future.
