Barbara Wolford has been the firm’s Director of Elder Law Services for more than 26 years, which is a unique position within an Elder Law and Estate Planning law firm. Providing this position for our clients allows Davidow, Davidow, Siegel & Stern to truly offer a full-service environment when it comes to assisting families with all of their long-term care needs.
Ms. Wolford is a licensed practical nurse and as Director of Elder Law Services provides our clients with the following: guiding families through the complex Medicaid process, helping them with assessment procedures, and presenting a host of different long term care options such as home care, assisted living, and nursing home placement. As a former nursing home Admissions Director, Ms. Wolford is extremely well versed in the paradigms of what it takes to make effective, efficient and compassionate elder care decisions.
Ms. Wolford is also very active in senior organizations and advocacy serving on the Board of the Suffolk Chapter of the Senior Umbrella Network where she held the title of Past Chair and currently sits on its Board of Directors. In addition, she was Past President of the Board of Directors for both the New York State and Long Island Coalitions for the Aging and was honored by Day Haven for dedication to her field and commitment to the community.
