Care Concerns:  Scenarios and Solutions

Come listen and learn how to assess and then address your loved one’s ever-changing care needs. The presenter will describe four separate scenarios with four different levels of solutions and how to finance them that fall into these categories:

• Day Care/Respite Care –  a lower level of care to help socialize or rehabilitate an isolated person and to alleviate the caregiver so they can have time to run errands or take time for themselves
• Homecare – either a healthcare aide or a family member or friend comes into the home to help with the activities of daily living
• Assisted Living Facility/Memory Unit – a person deemed to need assistance that is too involved to provide in the home/home might be dangerous because of too many hazards and/or a loved one’s memory loss
• Nursing Home/Rehab – advanced, long-term medical care is needed in a hospital-type setting/on-site rehabilitation is needed in order to be released back into the home
