The Listen to Lawrence Letter: When do we need to update our estate planning documents?

April 13, 2022
Dear Clients and Friends,
When was the last time you updated your estate planning documents? Read on…
CLIENT QUESTION:
Dear Mr. Davidow,
My wife and I have wills that are about 10 years old. Do we need new wills or can they be updated? Other than a few assets everything is the same. Thank you for your help.
MY RESPONSE:
The answer is yes, it’s time for a review, especially since you are asking the question. The review will give you peace of mind even if nothing needs to be changed.
With 10 years lapsing, you are overdue to check things over with us. Plus, the one constant is change. Perhaps your assets are generally the same, but laws may be different, the issues for someone 10 years older may be different, family health may be different, family dynamics may be different, and so forth and so on. You get the idea. We will see you in the office soon. 😊
I hope this helps! Please forward this information to your friends and relatives to share these informative answers to some very commonly asked questions.
And, if anyone you know would like to receive this

As always, please send me your questions. If you are thinking about it, others are probably too, so my answers will no doubt help you and many others.
Let’s stay connected.
Stay safe!
Until next time,
peace, health and happiness,
Lawrence Eric Davidow
