CLIENT QUESTION:

Question for Lawrence: who to name as trustee if no trusted close friend or family member?

MY RESPONSE:

When choosing trustees, executors, or agents, we start with the usual cast of characters. First family. This could be parents, children, siblings, nieces and nephews. If none of them are appropriate, we turn to friends. If none of them are appropriate, then we have to find someone who you will have to pay to fill the role. Sometimes we turn to trust companies or banks who have trust departments. Sometimes we choose other professionals. At Davidow, Davidow, Siegel & Stern, LLC, we will serve as your fiduciary under the proper circumstances.

I hope this helps! Please forward this information to your friends and relatives to share these informative answers to some very commonly asked questions.
