The Listen to Lawrence Letter: 2025 Medicaid Update

To be eligible for Medicaid in New York in 2025, you must have no more than….

$32,396 in ASSETS (there are exceptions such as retirement plans).

As for INCOME, you are allowed to keep the first $50 per month if Medicaid is paying for a nursing home and $1820 per month if Medicaid is paying for care outside a nursing home (“Community Medicaid”).
