Courtney Abbott is a Partner at Davidow, Davidow, Siegel & Stern, LLP. Her primary areas of practice include estate planning, elder law planning (specifically, Medicaid Asset protection planning) and Medicaid eligibility planning for Community Care and Chronic Care Medicaid.
She attended Villanova University for her undergraduate studies and then earned her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law. During law school, Courtney was a frontline editor of the St. John’s Journal of Legal Commentary, while also working part-time in a general practice firm. Although she worked on a vast array of matters while in general practice, the elder law matters always interested her the most.
Courtney joined Davidow as an Associate Attorney in 2011 and is now a Partner with the firm. During her time at Davidow, she has been named to the NY Metro Rising Stars by Super Lawyers for 2018 and 2019. She has also been an active member of the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
Aside from her time at the Firm, Courtney’s time is spent enjoying Eastern Long Island with her family. She enjoys volunteering in community activities and assisting others whenever she can.
