ANNOUNCEMENT
MEDICAID RENEWALS & RE-CERTIFICATIONS
HAVE STARTED UP AGAIN
As you may or may not know, after you are authorized to receive Medicaid, you must be recertified every year. We have traditionally assisted our clients with this process.
BUT THEN CAME COVID! Back in March 2020, Medicaid cases were extended for a year because of the Covid Pandemic, and then the extensions continued during the continuation of the “CRISIS.” Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end. As of March 2023, the renewals have started again. Medicaid-only cases with authorization ending on 6/30/23 or later need to be submitted on time with the required documentation otherwise Medicaid can be DISCONTINUED!
One to two months before the end of your “authorization period” you should receive a renewal packet by mail which will include instructions on how to complete and return the packet for renewal or recertification. To add fuel to
the fire, Medicaid Income and Asset Levels have recently changed making it ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to stay on top of this situation by paying attention to new numbers and deadlines.
If you receive a renewal packet or if you know that your authorization ending date is nearing, CALL OUR OFFICE so that we may assist you in submitting all the paperwork properly and on time! |
